Outfit Architecture…

I apologize for giving you another Outfit Architecture drop without some other content to buffer the spacing. Since I just paid my annual server charges (on time I might add – Thanks Combat Jack) I should be doing more drops more often.

The ‘Fit pictured below is what I’m donning for the Indian Summer we are having here in NYC. Muggy weather and record high temps are keeping me in short pants.

Chocolate Snowflake said I was a bit thirsty to rock these socks on a day that is rumored to reach 90 degrees. Yeah, I’ll be hot but that has less to do with the socks and more to do with the Timberland heat rocks I’ll be popping the tags off.

The Intervale Mid city hiker was a shoe I bought on my recent trip to Atlanta. It’s lightweight and has a nice lowkey profile. It’s being called a ‘city hiker’, which I think is the new jazzy term for walking shoe.

Timberland Turns Forty…

I think I’ve been ramped up for the Timberland Boot Company’s 40th anniversary more than anyone else on the planet. I’m not just hyped for the classics either because Timberland is still making innovative footwear that fits any lifestyle profile.

I just received a couple of pairs to kick of the season. First was the iconic 3-eye moccasin. This is one of my all-time favorite styles. It goes great with khakis or cargo shorts.

The saddle brown leather looks almost too perfect.

Talking about leather I also got these contractor boots. Peep the stitched outsoles on these. FIYAHVERKX. Nah’mean?! I had to put a little Godd Bootgod vid on the internets just to let the people see how it’s going dddddd-down.

And its just getting started. I’m so hyped that I’m not even waiting for Timberland to send me stuff. I’m buying anything I see that looks dope.

My homie DICE RAW of the Roots has been working on a new project called ‘Jimmie’s Back’ which connects the prison industrial complex with the legacy of Jim Crow laws here in AmeriKKKa.

DICE RAW is one of those voices who always puts undeniable truth within his soulful art. Check out this dope documentary he put together as a sort of trailer for his project.

Timeless Truth: What A Life…

I always think about the first time I met Timeless Truth in the NYC streets. We was all catching the subway at the 2/3 14th St station and these dudes called me “Diamond Dallas Paige”. Classic. LOL, nah, but they fuxed with me and I fuxed with them.

They were ‘LO dipped with a grip of I.T.’s on like I hadn’t seen since 1992. Mind you this was 2007 tho’ and their pieces were 15 years old. Damned if these dudes weren’t 15yrs old. How could these young niggas have so much OG flavor? I felt like they had come from a time machine. I especially loved the Hi-Tech pieces.

What I learned then about Timeless is that they are old souls and students of the art of being fresh in NYC. Shouts to the whole planet Earth, but NYC is one of the hubs of the aspirational lifestyle. Polo defines that lifestyle in their clothing because of the people in NYC who rock it while they earn their stripes. However they earn their stripes. And whatever you do to defend those stripes. People that rock Polo manifest their dreams.

Timeless Truth let me play a part in their album release with my official fanboy of Hi-Tech. The video was actually a message to the brothers about where we come from in the galaxy of Queens. I used Queens landmarks, but these brothers need no reminding to remain centered. They have their Hip-Hop GPS locked in. Listen to the melody of RTNC respecting the power of the 88 keys.

The video below is for the track which I think represents Timeless Truth’s aspirational values in rap form. Family first, love and loyalty always. It won’t be an easy road, but what a life…

Been Had Stussy…

When I saw how sickly dope the Timberland x Stussy Deluxe field boot was made I went on a hunt to try and come up on a pair on some clearance shit. No dice. These boots left Urban Outfitters stores as fast as they dropped.

I found them on the eBay system from the same seller who pieced me the brown joints. Dude even gave me the same price for a little over a buck. This is definitely gonna be the summer of Timberland. Are you ready to walk with me Internets?
