Outfit Architecture…

November 20th, 2012

Just like Victorian architecture, God is in the details.

I’m popping tags this week on another Indian blanket button-down so I assembled the pieces I wanted to use to connect the dots within my Lifestyle programme

The Navajo and midwestern themed prints are killing the game this season. These joints aren’t built for pedestrian pony Lifestylers tho’. These prints are for the vets out here who don’t want to talk with new fans, but with the old heads still in the game.

I fux with this down filled Elmer Fudd hat after Just Blaze told me that he didn’t see anyone else holding this piece.

Blackstronaut Foamposites.

Breezed thru the RL outlet in Stroudsburg, PA last month and copped this button-down. I saw some sweaters I was fuxin’ with, but this shirt as well as a Navajo blanket shirt were in XXL and I needed to add some b-downs to the repertoire. The cuffs on this shirt are hardbody.

However, my favorite I.T. in this ‘fit is the Black Label scarf from an RL sample sale last year. I actually bought two(2) since they were the only things I could afford.

Put Some Extra Butter On My Kicks…

November 20th, 2012

ExtraButterNY is a swag shop out in Long Island near my crib in Freeport. I stumbled into their shop one day and I’ve been fuxing with them ever since. The homey Jason saw me at SneakerCON and he laced me with some extra swaggy socks to rock with my J’s.

SneakerCON was bigger and better than it has ever been as evidence of the new space which is the size of an airplane hangar. Hypebeasts still rule the roost and I haven’t found anyone willing to show me love for the Doernbecher VIs.

If you live on Long Island you better put Extra Butter into your Black Friday shopping rotation.

They are looking to blow out some of the year’s previous styles.

SNEAKER FIENDS UNITE!

November 19th, 2012

The Sneaker Fiends Unite! podcast will also have a video element incorporated into the production. I’m gonna try out some techniques and add some more images to the videos. The goal is to make a tight 30min (more or less) podcast with a 10min video.

Sneaker Fiends Unite! was developed by DallasPenndotcom and IS NOT affiliated with, or connected to any other groups assuming the name Sneaker Fiends Unite

JET WORLD ORDER

November 19th, 2012

Highline Ballroom has a pair of tickets for you to catch Curren$y and Smoke DZA light up their stage on Tuesday night.

Just tell me the name of Curren$y’s first full length album and you are flying high.

Roc Marciano: Reloaded

November 19th, 2012

Rap music has always been enthralled with the tales of the unapologetic mobster. The gangster who is unbowed and UN-compromised by his environment and or circumstances. Roc Marciano is that persona.

Marciano reminds me of Raekwon’s character from the original Cuban Linx album. The rhymes are all raw, but where Raekwon is esoteric in his wordplay Roc Marciano is lucid and brilliantly shining.

Roc Marciano also produces haunting soundscapes filled with violins and violence reminiscent of the dystopia crafted by Mobb Deep. Queensbridge, Hempstead, NYC. Only rap nerds like Robbie might could connect those seemingly disparate dots.

‘Death Parade’

‘Not Told’ featuring Knowledge Pirate and Ka

This song features Brownsville Ka using his deep, mysterious flow. I’m waiting to hear the Metal Clergy project with Roc and Ka. I’m still pressing them to make a track called ‘Full Metal Clergy’. They not fuxing with me tho’.

‘Tek 2 A Mac’

This is MY JAM! I’m gonna give this track some fanboy treatment in few. I feel like I don’t really need any more music for the rest of 2012, but next week the homey Meyhem Lauren has another project dropping thru Mishka. Real Hip-Hop. It don’t stop.
