SNEAKER FIENDS UNITE!

jordan

After getting two separate shouts from BOL on the prolific and prophylactic (nullus, but you already knew) nature of my shoe game I was inspired to do a drop for all the folks down with SFU.

This drop isn’t exactly about sneakers though, but it is based on the sneaker culture that has gripped even the sartorially challenged, red state bloggers. For those of you carrying an iPod nano you may now customize your device with one of these four sleeves that bear a print of your favorite Air Jordan shoe. Free DP Dot Com shit for the first person to tell me the model #’s to each of the Jordans featured.

The artist name is DAVE WHITE and he rolls with the Sneaker Pimps crew. I’ve used DAVE’s work at this site previously. How sick is the S.P. spaceship gonna be when they touch down in L.A. on August 3rd? It’s gonna be time to party like a rock star. The Funk Doc Spock was a rock star from the starting blocks.

COMBAT JACK Is Dropping Another Album…

preggs

Internets celebrity and rap industry legend COMBAT JACK will be dropping another album with Mrs. CJ and day now. COMBAT JACK decided to fund a little DP Dot Com Prize Pack contest in honor of his latest record release. If anyone can guess the gender and weight of his next child to the nearest ounce you win the SAM RAIMI Spider-Man 1 + 2 DVD box set. And trust me, you don’t even want to see Spider-Man 3.

Your answer should read something like: Girl – 8lbs 5ozs
fyi – C JACK has three boys that were all between 7lbs 4ozs and 8lbs 4ozs

As a side note, if you submitted your snail mail address to DP Dot Com and you haven’t received anything in the mail yet, hold tight. Previous prize packs are being processed. Whew, say that five times fast.

Girl, You Make Me Better…

tracy

This past weekend was my third anniversary with C.S. Well, not actually my third anniversary as her boyfriend, but the third anniversary of me meeting her in a club on Friday, and then at the museum on Saturday, and then at my girl KEITA’s barbecue on Sunday (she can front if she wants, but y’all know that chick was stalking me!?!).

What’s funny is that it feels like I’ve known her much longer than only 36 months. In this short time I’ve been able to find someone who is a committed activist, an artist, and a generous spirit. She’s also the most intelligent woman that I have ever encountered. Her skill is in deftly allowing me to think that I sit in the driver’s seat. I play that role of long suffering husband so well I need to just marry this woman already.

What do you folks think? Is it time for me to finally start breeding?

UPDATE:

It’s The Taxes Stupid…

giuliani

Prior to his appearance at the Daytona Speedway to be the grand marshal for the Pepsi 400, the presidential campaign for Republican hopeful RUDOLPH GIULIANI hit a major speedbump (pun always intended). During a town hall meeting this weekend that the former NYC mayor presided over he was loudly jeered. RUDY said all the right things to this crowd of bible belt NASCAR fans when he was questioned about whether or not more people should die in the desert, but he stumbled over himself after saying that he opposed the implementation of a ‘flat tax’ system as a way of overhauling the federal income tax system.

Even though I am a registered Republican voter I also oppose the ‘flat tax’ rate system as proposed by several Congressional legislators because it still allows the rich and corporations to shelter their earnings while the middle class (read: working class) shoulders the brunt of the responsibility for funding governmental services like the war in the Middle East.

Here is the new DALLAS PENN Dot Com buzzword phrase for the next decade in the American economy – COMPASSIONATE CAPITALISM. This is the idea that corporations and big business must be held accountable for their uncontrolled profiteering. With so many sectors in the private industry consolidating and merging there are companies returning to their original monolithic monopoly-like hold on our economy. Bell Telephone which had been split into many pieces is transforming into a tele-communications Leviathan under the name of Verizon.

No presidential candidate has spoken to America’s biggest problem which isn’t terrorism, but a lack of opportunity for living wage employment. This speaks directly to all the companies that have outsourced entire divisions of their manufacturing, processing and customer service overseas. Guess what GIULIANI, CLINTON, McCAIN, OBAAMA, et al? It’s STILL the economy stupid!
