The homey MarQ Spekt is dropping this collaborative album with underground wunderkind producer Blockhead and when I heard this joint called ‘Hangliding Thru The City’ I begged ‘Spekt to let me shoot a video for the song.

MarQ Spekt keeps challenging himself to find new avenues to express his rhymes. His MacheteVision project alonside production from Kno was well received but the internets slept hardbody on the Mazes EP he dropped with funk jazz legend Gary Wilson.

I hope y’all lend him your ear for this Blockhead collabo which finds ‘Spekt at his quirkiest and verbose. Philly rappers might be the hardest working breed in Hip-Hop. MarQ Spekt certainly doesn’t let any dust settle under his feet. Enjoy the song and let me know what y’all feel about the video.

Take Me Out To The Ballgame…

I haven’t been inside Shea Stadium all season long. I went to the park for the NaS concert but I didn’t get inside. Queens be on that brand new Brooklyn shit I guess.

I was sitting in the lab doing nothing on a Saturday until Chocoalte Snowflake said she had seats for us behind the home team dugout at field level for a doubleheader

Seats wasn’t too bad as you can see.

Diasuke Matasuzake dealt a wonderful game for the doubleheader (ayo, if necessary). Two(2) hits given up and no runs allowed.

Proving Black doesn’t crack (unless we are talking about Strawberry, natch) the ageless one, LaTroy Hawkins, came in for the save.

It was an all around vainglorious day at the ballpark.

Outfit Architecture…

I apologize for giving you another Outfit Architecture drop without some other content to buffer the spacing. Since I just paid my annual server charges (on time I might add – Thanks Combat Jack) I should be doing more drops more often.

The ‘Fit pictured below is what I’m donning for the Indian Summer we are having here in NYC. Muggy weather and record high temps are keeping me in short pants.

Chocolate Snowflake said I was a bit thirsty to rock these socks on a day that is rumored to reach 90 degrees. Yeah, I’ll be hot but that has less to do with the socks and more to do with the Timberland heat rocks I’ll be popping the tags off.

The Intervale Mid city hiker was a shoe I bought on my recent trip to Atlanta. It’s lightweight and has a nice lowkey profile. It’s being called a ‘city hiker’, which I think is the new jazzy term for walking shoe.
